5-Day
Fasting Mimicking Diet (FMD)

FMD: What Is it?

Developed at the Longevity Institute of USC, the FMD is a structured dietary protocol designed to mimic the effects of fasting while still providing necessary nourishment to the body.

During the FMD, you consume a specialized low-calorie, plant-based diet for five days. This unique dietary composition allows the body to experience the beneficial effects of fasting, such as cellular rejuvenation and activation of various repair mechanisms, while still providing essential nutrients.

AutoImmune

FMD may help modulate immune responses and reduce inflammation, potentially offering relief to individuals with autoimmune disorders, including ulcerative colitis, multiple sclerosis, & rheumatoid arthritis.

Belly Fat & Weight Loss

Belly fat, particularly visceral fat, has been linked to an increased risk of various health conditions. FMD has shown promising results in targeting and reducing belly fat by supporting fat metabolism and promoting weight loss.

Cholesterol and

Blood Pressure

  1. High blood pressure is a common risk factor for cardiovascular disease. FMD has been shown to support blood pressure reduction and improve overall cardiovascular health.

  2.  Elevated cholesterol levels can contribute to heart disease. FMD has the potential to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglyceride levels, thus promoting a healthier lipid profile.

Diabetes & Insulin Resistance

FMD has demonstrated positive effects on blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity. By optimizing insulin levels and promoting metabolic flexibility, FMD may aid in managing diabetes and reducing the risk of insulin resistance.

Other Conditions

Preliminary studies indicate FMD may benefit cognitive and neurodegenerative disorders, such as dementia. FMD may also improve cancer therapies.
